CGM offers a series of 3 unique and patented steel lock bars to secure swing door trailers and sea containers. These bars secure the keeper rods on both doors to prevent the removal of the handle hub to surreptitiously gain access to the contents. By providing the ability to seal the doors even after an original seal is affixed, rail roads and forwarders can reaffirm the integrity of the doors by applying this technology after the initial stuffing and sealing is done. The products comes as a re-usable lockable device and a one time device. All applications have a unique C-01 cable seal to identify each load or use.

SHIPPERS RISK INTRODUCTION OF CONTRABAND IF THEY FAIL TO USE DOOR TO DOOR SEALS - By Erik Hoffer
For many years, shippers and carriers have debated the use of bolt seals as a means to insure container door integrity. How foolish it is to assume that a device proven ineffective repeatedly has somehow gained the confidence of the shipping public to the point that well over 3/4 the shipments coming into the USA still use that archaic technology? Because terrorists are clever and determined and need only to beat a poorly conceived seal type, we the public have been put at undo risk. Even US Customs still employs this technology as do many of the primary ocean carriers. Because money seems to be the only basis for this choice, I felt that seeing this telling video would help put into prospective the real threat faced by us all when dealing with prolific use of the ‘bolt seal’. My thanks to Tropical Shipping of Miami for producing it.
Only through the use of door to door sealing techniques and products such as Navalocks and Navalink door to door cables and tamper evident self adhesive seals over door seams, can a shipper guaranty the integrity of the container doors. Additionally the robust nature of the seal type and appropriateness for the application make door to door traverse sealing, the most appropriate and effective choice over a simple bolt, plastic tie, tin seal or short cable seal going only through the trailer or container right hand door hasp.
Please watch this video and view the simple PowerPoint to understand the threat posed by the use of bolt seals. Be warned, that without using these door to door sealing products, you run significant risks of theft loss and terrorist attacks using your container to piggyback weapons or smuggle narcotics or terrorists themselves into the United States!
